Building Safety Act
At Study Inn, we’re dedicated to making our buildings safer by listening to your feedback and experiences. We believe that by putting your insights first, we can ensure you feel safe and heard.
The Building Safety Act, a recent legislation in England, aims to ensure the safety of buildings. For more detailed information, you can refer to the .gov website.
This law specifically targets taller buildings, those exceeding 18m in height or with 7 or more floors. While not all Study Inn properties fall under this category, some do.
In order to adhere to this new legislation, we will maintain up-to-date records on the design, construction, maintenance, and modifications of the buildings.
We will also ensure that you stay informed and seek your input as needed. This is why we have developed a Resident Engagement Strategy.
What does this mean for you as a resident
You have more of a say in how your building is kept safe, and you have the ability to raise any concerns you may have to nominated persons.
Our new Building Safety Resident Engagement Strategy outlines our commitment to fostering strong relationships with residents living in our buildings.
Our goal is to ensure that residents feel informed and empowered to challenge decisions and participate in any discussions about their building.
What is our Resident Engagement Strategy
It ensures that important safety information is shared clearly and accessibly, and that you have opportunities to get involved in decisions about your building’s safety.
Empowerment
Through accessible channels and transparent communication, we aim to ensure that you have the opportunity to voice your concerns and play an active role in shaping building safety measures
Engage
We are committed to improving the way we interact with residents about the safety of their homes. Our objective is to create inclusive and responsive communication channels that prioritise your input and feedback.
Informed
By understanding residents’ preferences for information sharing, we aim to enhance accessibility and ensure that safety information is readily available and easily understandable.
